Rise is the final painting in a three part series, following Surrender and Agape. The series explores themes of depression, survival and hope.
In Rise, the weight and struggle explored in the series’ earlier paintings feels lifted. Here, we experience at last the relief of making it through the darkness – with deep and cold blues now giving way to warmer hues.
