"Agape" 2024. A3 limited edition print run of 200 hand signed by the artist on Perlino Cotton 250gsm. Perlino is an FSC® certified board made up of 65% virgin fibres, 20% recycled material and 15% cotton fibres. Frame not included.
Agape is the second painting in a three part series, following Surrender and preceding Rise. The series explores themes of depression, survival and hope.
In Agape, we experience the moment that the internalised shame of depression is overcome – one figure reaching out for help, the other representing a community that rallies to provide support.
The deep, crushing blue that frames the painting contrasts with the first signs of light, and relief, as the figures begin their journey back to the surface together.
