A staple of any Norfolk lover is a trip to the beautiful coast. Painted plein air on the beachfront under the warm sun, “Sheringham” was one of Pinch’s first impasto pieces using exclusively palette knives for their series on the meaning of Home. With sandy fingers, Pinch captured the white peaks of the North Sea during a summertime day out with visiting friends. Pinch wanted to show them the uninterrupted horizon, and why they decided to settle in Norfolk instead of joining the rest of the pack in London.
